Once Dr. Parson read Dr. Temple's book, HOW SHALL WE GATHER? How to Thrive in the Midst of Church Decline, An Exegetical Perspective, not only did Dr. Parson receive Derrick's invitation to do the book Foreword, but he was so impressed by the book that he immediately saw the imminent need to spread the truths of this book throughout our nation. These were Dr. Parson's exact words:
"Dr. T (Temple), Man, there is at least a 3-day "HOW SHALL WE GATHER? conference in this book, Brother! Man, these insights must be shared orally to have max exposure and max impact on the Church. Reducing the key insights to a 2-3 day presentation would be awesome!"
Since then, Derrick is pursuing as many avenues possible to get this vital message to the Church and pastors throughout our nation, including his newest supplement, HOW SHALL WE GATHER? Strategic Guide, A Practical Perspective.
His greatest desire is to continue partnerships with Dr. Parson in Church and Preaching revitalization partnerships.
